Building Life-Long Careers
Our Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) is committed to providing quality training and education for apprentices and journeymen in the unionized sheet metal industry.
As a union sheet metal worker, you will be taught the skills needed to fabricate and install all types of metal products. The best part about becoming a union sheet metal worker is that all the skills and training are provided at no cost to you! On average, union sheet metal workers earn 27% more take-home pay than a non-union worker. We offer regular yearly wage increases, and benefits including full medical coverage, from day one, beginning with your four-year apprenticeship.
Interested in starting your journey as a union sheet metal worker? Fill out our apprenticeship application and submit it in-person to the Union Hall at 100A Old Forge Road, Rocky Hill, CT 06067, or via email to INFO_40@smart-nerc.org
